All fishing tickets can be purchased at our lodge where we accept payment by cash or card. Advanced booking is not required for groups of 10 anglers or less.
You do not need a rod licence to fish at Chatton Trout fishery. By purchasing a ticket you agree to abide by the fishery rules below.

Children aged 10 and under receive a 50% reduction on fly only fishing.
There is a £2 reduction on all weekday tickets for concessions (over 65’s) ONLY on fly lakes.

All fish caught must be killed. Additional fish from Reddis Lake over the fish limit are charged at £5 per fish.
After 3 hours, a new ticket must be purchased.
Purchase of this ticket allows fishing on Reddis Lake ONLY.
Fly rod hire is £10.
Bait rod hire including 1 pot of power bait is £10.

Opening Hours
The fishery is open 7 days a week from 08.30.
Our closing times vary depending on the time of year. Typically in the summer months we are open until 21.00, excluding Saturdays (17.00), and in the winter months we close at 16.30. As the days get longer or shorter, we update closing times on our Facebook page where you can also see our Festive period opening hours which typically get posted a week or so before Christmas.
Rules
The rules are set to ensure that Chatton Trout Fishery continues to offer a high level of service and facilities. Everyone who fishes our lakes should respect the habitat as well other anglers to ensure that everyone can thoroughly enjoy their fishing experience.
Rules for All Anglers (Fly Fishing and Bait Fishing)
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult when fishing.
- No dogs allowed.
- For a peaceful environment please make as little noise or disturbance as possible.
- Please put litter and leader materials in the bins provided.
- When anglers are not fishing, their equipment must be removed from the lakes.
- No photos of live trout out of the water.
- The fishery has a legal right to refuse admission to any angler.
- The fishery reserves the right to inspect bags and vehicles at any time without giving reason.
Additional Rules for Fly Fishing Anglers (Catch & Release/Keep Tickets)
- All fish being kept must be caught first, thereafter going on to catch & release. (All Tiger, Golden and Brown trout must be returned to the lakes.)
- Transferring fish to other anglers in NOT allowed.
- Maximum of 25 fish per ticket
- 5 fish limit per peg, then please move to a new peg
- No floating flies on an intermediate or sinking line.
- No propellers, flickers, spinners, set lines, ground baiting or baited flies. No powerbait allowed.
- Minimum tippet strength is 6lbs.
- Barbless or debarbed hooks only.
- Single hooks only on each fly.
- A maximum of 3 flies can be used up to size 10.
- No boobies or booby style fishing snakes 1 hook only.
Additional Rules for Bait Anglers (Reddis Lake ONLY)
- All fish caught must be killed. Every fish after the first 3 will be charged at £5 per fish.
- After 3 hours, a new ticket must be purchased.
- Purchase of a Bait Ticket allows fishing on Reddis Lake ONLY.
